With global attention to carbon reduction continuing to grow, a seminar titled “Forest Land and Derivative Applications of Carbon-Negative Materials” was jointly organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council on the 28th of last month at the Windsor Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Industry leaders were invited to participate and exchange insights on forest carbon sinks, as well as on how innovative materials and digital management can be applied to support factories in transitioning toward low-carbon operations.

To address the issue of environmental pollution caused by plastic particles, Hsinchu Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., established in Taiwan for over five years, has achieved significant research results under its brand “Hsinchu Jinjin.” In recent years, its accomplishments have drawn international attention in the field of ESG. Ranked 146th in the QS World University Rankings, the School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) took the lead in visiting Taiwan to announce a collaboration with Hsinchu Advanced Materials. Together, they aim to advance innovation in eco-friendly materials, foster talent cultivation, and jointly pursue long-term ESG initiatives on an international scale.

Minghsin University of Science and Technology’s Hsinchu Startup Hub hosted a Lunar New Year Networking Tea Party and Achievement Exhibition on the afternoon of the 25th. Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke, Education Bureau Director Yang Chun-tzu, Information Office Director Yen Chang-sheng, and Hsinchu County Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Association Secretary-General Hsu Yuan-tung gathered with resident startup teams. After nearly 7 months and more than 200 days, 30 candidates out of 140 companies/ teams are selected to join the final competition and award ceremony on November 19,2024. 17. 新竹金Bamboo was given with the award of best I.M.V. Spirt for showing their strengths in technological innovation, market mastery, and sustainable value.
Global Ganzai Store honors its hometown as a successful enterprise rewarded as the Second runner-up in HsinChu County.
"Global Ganzai Store" harvested bamboos from Jianshi and Wufeng Township and have them grinded into powder to replace the plastic materials. This innovation is significantly helping local communities and industries in the rural areas. Bamboo powder's biodegradable feature can help customer to lower the carbon tariff in both consumer and industrial fields.
